SANSUI-614E PMP is 8MM Thick and Plays Harry Potter



Another slim PMP from China boasts video playback just a shade below big-screen standards. The SANSUI’s latest, the 614E is a 2.8-inch QVGA player with AVI (DivX), MP3, WMA, WAV and JPEG support. The casing is supposedly metal, and if that is true then we got ourselves another classic design from the globe’s most populous country. Not much else is known of this newly announced player except that you can sync it with your PC via USB and storage is a 2GB onboard SD card.

Shiny LG T54 PMP With DMB



LG puts a shine on every gadget that comes out of its factories. The LG T54 is a slim mini-PMP in a shiny metal box measuring 54.4 x 92.6 x 11.5mm. It boasts a 2.4-inch 260k-color TFT LCD screen. It plays AVI at 30fps and MP3, OGG, WMA and WAV audio files. It also supports JPG, BMP and TXT, in case you want a quiet read instead of listening to music or watching TV. Besides tuning in to DMB broadcasts, this LG plays games like a true made-for-China gadget. The battery on this one lasts 25 on music playback, 5 hours on video and 4 hours tuning in to digital TV. No price has been announced, but would’nt it be great if this was under $150?

Techno-Preachers Rejoice: the iBible has Cometh




In line with the trend for religion-oriented PMPs, the iBible from KingNeed is a video-, audio- and photo-supporting (formats not specified) device equipped with a 3.2-inch touchscreen TFT display. Needless to say, this non-Apple product comes with a whole host of biblical features, as well as a miniSD slot for memory expansion.
The King James and World English versions of the Bible are included. Search via chapter title, verse, or keyword is allowed, and chapters can be bookmarked. A dictionary of biblical terms is included, as is an exam to check your memory-retention skills. The iBible also has PDA functions, such as contacts, calendar, task manager, memos, sketchpad, voice recorder, world clock, e-book reader and calculator. Dimensions are 2.6×4.5×6 inches.
If you’re interested, you can get one for $132.76 (but you’ll have to get at least five units). Salvation is, sadly, not part of the package.

Teclast M26 Touch Screen PMP





Taipower’s newest PMP is beautiful. Compared to the M25, the M26 is genuine alternative to Apple products in form factor. The M26, which comes in black and white versions, has a 2.6-inch WQVGA touch screen. It plays RMVB / RM / FLV / AVI videos with TV-out functionality. Audio will be enhanced with Microsoft’s PlayFX that features 3D headsets. The Teclast M26 isn’t priced yet, but we are almost certain it won’t cost anywhere near an iPod.

CT599 Iphone NOT by Apple



There are simply too many iPhone knock-offs to make us excited about another one. But, then, when a manufacturer makes it a point that potential buyers do not mistake their product as Apple made, we take notice and give it its due appreciation. The Iphone CT599 is a dual band GSM phone with a 3.2-inch touch screen. and a 1.3 megapixel camera. It has stereo Bluetooth, MMS, SMS group sending, voice recording and games support. It is priced at just under $200. Egoman 4.3-inch PMP is Slim



It’s been a while since we posted an Egoman PMP or, for that matter, from a Chinese wholesaler site. I believe, however, you’d agree that the MP810RSTD-43 is one PMP that is hard to miss. The 4.3-inch touchscreen supports 16.7 million colors and a 480 x 272-pixel resolution, good enough for playing WVI and RMVB at 30 fps. It’s a pretty thing player with 80(L) x 40(W) x 7.2(D)mm form factor, though the fine print says “[all] specifications are subject to change without notice,” which doesn’t sound too comforting. Other features includes audio support for MP3, WMA, ADPCM, WAV, APC, FLAC and JPG,BMP,GIF. It has a built-in FM tuner and records ADPCM/WMA digital audio. It has TV out, G-sensor and USB 2.0.
I’m not sure about some features like the G-sensor, which is a fancy way of switching between tracks and apps by a flick of the wrist. For this size of player, it does not seem very useful.

Viewo V8, Not to be Confused W/ Other V8 PMPs



Viewo’s V8 is difficult to mistake for PMP models from other brands, but sometimes people get confused anyway. Take the recent release by RAmos using the same V8 name. Viewo’s V8 was released sometime ago early last year. It boasts a huge 4-inch (480 x 272-pixel) 16 million-color screen, 16.6mm thickness, AVI, ASF, WMV9 playback at 30fps, USB 2.0, multitasking (you can browse photos while music is playing), SD/ MMC and 4GB of storage. Not bad for an old PMP from China, though it’s a tad heavy at 154g.

PMP NES Gamer has a 1.3 MP Camera Built-In



Shenzhen Derisson Imp. & Exp. Co., Ltd. portable game-centric PMP will have the honor to be the first device of its kind to boast a built-in camera (that we’ve heard of). Sure, the PSP has the Go!Cam but that one’s sold separately and attached in semi-ludicrous fashion. The DPMP-003’s camera is built into the body. It’s not a webcam but a real photo shooter with 1.3 megapixels with the option to make it a 2 megapixel or 3 megapixel. The DPMP-003 has a 3-inch screen screen and records scheduled TV programs (don’t know how this works exactly but the specs says so). It supports NES games and ASF format of MEPG-4 videos. It also comes with a TV Out and support for music files as well as photos and TXT. Full specs after the break.

DIY Design PMP is iPhone’s Nightmare



The Chuwi DIY Design Competition top placer is a 4.3-inch screen, a resolution of 960 × 544 pixel player, which won’t take being called a mere MP4 player lightly. It plays RM, RMVB, AVI with additionaly DivX, Xvid support and STR subtitles. The judges like the cool ultra-thin metal body and the integrated Bluetooth and WiFi. Pretty good. Personally though, I like the third place winner. The SPINN-like 8th place winner looks great as well. Read on and judge for yourself.

MUMU iShine Q18 in Interesting Colors



The Q18 from RAmos’ Mumu Music line of PMPs is thin (7.7mm) with very finished looks that you don’t usually see in Chinese PMPs. It also comes in bold colors that is very appealing to the eyes: black, red, white and baby blue. The dynamic Flash GUI we haven’t seen but the manufacturers thinks highly enough of it to make a special mention. The Chinese review only mentions “simple video playback” besides the usual music, e-Book and photo support. Other specs that we know about include 2.4-inch screen, FM tuner and 20 hours of music playback. The 2GB is priced at 399 yuan.

Newman MOMO Beetle MP3 Player Charges in 3 Minutes



Newman may have intended to design the cutest clip-on MP3 player. What they have for us instead - and they are not ashamed to admit - is a “UFO-shaped” design. The MOMO-Beetle is no ordinary odd-looking Chinese DAP, though. It plays music for 70 hours or more and has a stand-by time of 3 days, though we’re not sure why Newsmy has to mention their new MOMO-Beatle MP3 player drains out a full charge in 48 hours without a playing a single track.
